Querylane Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 7, 2026

Who we are

Querylane is developed by Marco Palermo, Italy (VAT IT10676101214), who is the data controller under this policy. Contact: info@palermomarco.com.

Summary

  • Querylane reads your Google Search Console and Google Analytics 4 data only to answer the requests you make through your AI client.
  • Access is read-only.
  • Your data and your sign-in tokens stay on your device. The developer never receives them.
  • Querylane does not sell data, show ads or train AI models.

Google user data Querylane accesses

When you sign in with Google, Querylane asks for two permissions:

  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/webmasters.readonly: the Search Console properties you can access, search performance data (queries, pages, countries, devices, clicks, impressions, click-through rate, position), URL inspection results and sitemaps.
  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/analytics.readonly: the Google Analytics 4 accounts, properties and data streams you can access, report metadata, and report data such as users, sessions, events and conversions.

Querylane also receives OAuth access and refresh tokens from Google. It does not request your name, email address, contacts, files or any other Google data.

How Querylane uses this data

Querylane uses Google user data only to run the tools your AI client calls when you ask it a question, and to return the results to that client. It does not use the data for advertising, profiling, creditworthiness or any purpose other than answering your requests.

Where data is stored

  • Your OAuth tokens are saved in a file in Querylane’s configuration folder on your device.
  • Search Console and Analytics results are held in memory only while a request runs, then passed to your AI client.
  • Querylane has no server. No copy of your data, your tokens or your usage is sent to the developer or to any server the developer runs.

Sharing

Querylane passes results only to the AI client you configured to use it, such as Claude Desktop or Claude Code. That client and its AI model provider process the data under their own terms and privacy policies. Choose an AI client whose data practices you are comfortable with.

The developer does not sell, rent or transfer Google user data to anyone, including advertising platforms, data brokers and information resellers.

AI and model training

The developer does not use Google user data obtained through Querylane to develop, improve or train generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models.

Limited Use

Querylane’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Human access

The developer cannot see your data, because it never leaves your device and your AI client. If you choose to send data to the developer to get support, for example by pasting an error message into an email, it is used only to answer your request and deleted once the request is closed.

Telemetry

Querylane does not collect analytics, crash reports, usage statistics or any other telemetry.

Retention and deletion

Your tokens stay on your device until you remove them. To delete them, uninstall Querylane or delete its configuration folder. To revoke Querylane’s access to your Google account, open your Google Account permissions page and remove Querylane. After revocation, the stored tokens stop working.

Security

  • Sign-in uses OAuth 2.0 with PKCE and a redirect to your own computer (loopback address).
  • All connections to Google APIs use HTTPS.
  • Querylane requests read-only scopes only.
  • Anyone who can use your account on your device can use the stored tokens, so keep your device protected.

Children

Querylane is not directed to children under 16.

Your rights

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation you have the right to access, correct and delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. The developer does not hold your Google user data, so there is usually nothing to return or delete on the developer’s side: deleting the local tokens and revoking access, as described above, ends Querylane’s access. To exercise your rights, write to info@palermomarco.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, or with the authority of your country.
